At the end of 2009, Benger Bears was inspected by the education watchdog, Ofsted. Ofsted rated Benger Bears as ‘Good’ overall.
It was given ‘Outstanding’ for the way it deploys resources, its effective partnerships and for effectively engaging with parents and carers.
The report said that ‘the staff and parent committee work closely together in this intimate village pre-school and a firm commitment to regularly improve outcomes for children through self-evaluation and an effective early learning scheme, is of great benefit to the children’.
The inspector also called the staff ‘kind’ and said they ‘act as good role models’ and ‘interact well with the children in order for them to succeed to the best of their ability’.

To celebrate the report, the pre-school held a party for the children.
The children spent the morning having their faces painted, jumping on a bouncy castle and playing party games. We would like to say a big thank you to all the parents who supplied the lovely food for the party.
