Benger Bears Pre-school

About Us...

Benger Bears was set up in 1978 and since then we have provided a friendly, safe environment that, by way of learning through play, aims to assist in the development of “well-rounded” children. Benger Bears operates within the Early Years Foundation Stage which is the standard required of pre-schools by OFSTED.

The pre-school sessions are held in Sutton Benger village hall, in a rural setting and maintain good links with the village school and church. Benger Bears is accredited by the Pre-School Learning Alliance under their “Aiming for Quality” scheme and we are regulated by OFSTED. Benger Bears Policies and Procedures are also available and we would encourage all parents to read through them. Our notice boards are used to display necessary legal documents and to keep us all informed about various events and activities that are happening. The Fire Brigade regularly inspects us and we hold regular practice evacuation procedures within sessions.

Our mission:  "To provide high quality, affordable and accessible childcare to children aged three to five, in a safe and supportive environment, and to work in partnership with parents in the provision of this childcare".

We are open on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.  We run core sessions from:

9am - 12pm
9am - 12.30pm
12pm - 3pm
12.30pm - 3pm
9am -  3pm

Please note that from September 2011 Friday sessions will be exclusively Polar Bear sessions (rising 5s).

We follow the same term times as Sutton Benger Church of England School. The pre-school will also be closed on the school’s Teacher Training Days. Details of the term times and closures of the pre-school will be given in the regular Newsletter distributed to all parents.
